Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) - Skills Review

This course is the required in-person skills session for those who have completed the online AHA HeartCode® BLS blended learning course. It provides the essential hands-on practice and evaluation needed to finalize your certification.

Who is This Course For?

This course is for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to complete the hands-on portion of the HeartCode® BLS blended learning course. It is the final step to receiving your official BLS Provider certification card.

What You'll Learn

During this session, an American Heart Association (AHA) certified instructor will guide you through the practical application of the knowledge you gained online. You will practice and be evaluated on critical skills, including:

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• Effective use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Rescue breathing using a barrier device or bag-mask
• Multirescuer CPR and team dynamics
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking)

Course Details

• Part 1: Online - You must complete the online HeartCode® BLS course prior to attending this skills session. You will be required to present your Part 1 certificate of completion upon arrival.
• Part 2: Hands-On Skills Session - This is the in-person practice and testing session. You will have the opportunity to refine your skills and be evaluated for certification.
• Certification - Upon successful completion of this skills session, you will be issued a two-year BLS Providercourse completion card.
